Syrus Truesdale/Sho Marafuji

Name: Syrus Truesdale/Sho Marafuji.

Age: 15-17

Appearance: Syrus has...erm, strange aqua hair. He has small glasses that he wears all the times, silver eyes, a crimson shirt under the Ra Yellow blazer, black pants, and the Ra Yellow shoes. He's also the shortest one in the group

Personality: Syrus is very shy and timid, but he's not afraid to hug a friend when he's happy or sad. Also very friendly and energetic, and is prone to panics and worrying.

Later on in the series, he gains more confidence, and becomes more mischeveous, but is still often paralyzed by worry or fear, feeling as if he is too weak compared to those around him. Syrus is often unsure of himself and not very good in school.

Though in the beginning of the series, he's very quiet. Especially around his brother, Zane/Ryo who's a bit of a role model to him.

Likes: Jaden, Alexis, Dark Magician Girl.

Dislikes: People picking on him, Milk.

Nicknames (if any): Sy, Shrimp, Pip-squeak, etc when it comes to short comments.

History:

In the first season, Syrus encounters Jaden Yuki/Juudai Yuki and is amazed at his dueling skill. He then became roomates with Jaden and Chumly Huffington/Hayato Maeda and he meets Professor Lyman Banner/Daitokuji sensei. Later on, They discover that Professor Banner is one the the Shadow Riders/Seven Stars, and that he has become somthing called a homonculus through alchemy. Jaden wins the duel (as usual), and Banner dies. Then Jaden goes on to win the big season closer, blah blah blah, and they all lived happily ever after.

During the second season, Syrus is given an opportunity to advance to Ra Yellow should he be able to defeat Missy/Ran Kocho. Feeling that he should not shoulder his brother's legacy, Syrus gives his Power Bond card to Chazz Princeton/Jun Manjoume before the start of the duel (reclaims it afterwards), and is successful in overcoming Missy.

Syrus would also develop a rivalry with Tyranno Hassleberry/Tyranno Kenzan over which of the two is better suited to being Jaden's best friend (in the Japanese version, it is over who has the right to call him "big brother"). They constantly argue and fight, prompting their repetitive separation by Alexis Rhodes/Asuka Tenjouin, with their rivalry coming to a temporary halt when the two decide to duel to settle matters once and for all, though Tyranno allows himself to be defeated after seeing Syrus's devotion to Jaden.

During the field trip to Domino City, Syrus teams up with Tyranno in a duel against the first duo of the Society of Light/Light Brigade, Frost/Kourimaru and Thunder/Ikazuchimaru. Although the two are pinned down by their opponents, who tuned their decks specifically to combat their cards, they end up pooling their efforts to combine their monsters into Super Vehicroid - Rex Union1. Despite their teamwork, however, Frost ends the duel by wiping out all players but himself, and promptly drags them to his master's lair, from where they are transported to KaibaLand as bait for Jaden and Aster Phoenix/Ed Phoenix by order of Sarina/Mizuchi Saiou.

It was a sunny morning outside, and a boy with aqua hair was still asleep. His alarm clock went off, and he banged his fist against it to turn it off. He slowly got up, and rubbed the tiredness out of his silver eyes. He yawned, and put on his glasses.

He got out of bed, and looked at Hassleberry's and Jaden's beds. Both were still asleep, both un-phased by the loud alarm clock, and both snoring loudly.

He smiled, and got dressed. He then went outside to find that the sun was just peaking over the horizon.

This was Syrus Truesdale, Jaden Yuki's best friend. He stretched, and looked at the roof of the Silfer Dorm. He almost fell over.

There on the roof, was a girl with long blue hair was sitting on the roof with her back turned to him. She was wearing a grey sweater and blue jeans.

Syrus re-gained himself, and spoke.

"Excuse me?" He said. "Who are you?"

The girl whirled around, and stood up. She had beautiful blue eyes, a white hair band, and she was bare foot.

She narrowed her eyes, but said nothing.
